Upcoming Seminars

Child Physical Abuse for the Non-Medical Professional – Understanding the Injuries   | May 15, 8:30am-4:00pm | Hyannis

All children who are suspected victims of physical abuse should be cared for by qualified health care professionals with specialized training and expertise, and investigators who can work collaboratively to understand the medical complexities of such cases. Because the nature of physical abuse and injury can be varied, the order of such investigations may not be linear and need to ensure proper care and investigation. This seminar will allow participants to have a greater understanding of injuries in children in physical abuse or criminal investigations, as well evaluate and address ongoing risk, needed treatment and care, and the integration of a CAC intervention. This seminar will be facilitated by: Neha H. Mehta, MD
